This July, golfers have the opportunity to earn their place in one of the most sought-after experiences in Irish amateur golf. Every competitor who takes part in the Irish Challenge Open Series at Killeen Castle will automatically be entered into a draw to win a place in the Irish Challenge Pro-Am, taking place on Wednesday 12th August 2026.
Hosted on the renowned Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, the Irish Challenge has become a highlight of the Irish golfing calendar, attracting leading professionals from across Europe. The Pro-Am offers amateur golfers the rare opportunity to experience tournament week from inside the ropes and compete alongside the professionals.
Successful entrants will enjoy a full tournament-day experience, including a hot breakfast before play, on-course refreshments, a post-round dinner, exclusive gifts and a tournament goody bag. Players will also have the unique opportunity to play with a different touring professional on each nine holes, providing an unforgettable insight into life on tour.
The Irish Challenge Open Series runs throughout July and features a variety of competitions including Singles Opens, Seniors Opens, the popular Black Sunday Open and the annual Scratch Cup. Every Open competition entry counts as an entry into the Pro-Am draw, giving golfers multiple opportunities to secure their place.
To reward strong performances, additional draw entries are awarded to leading finishers in each event. First place receives four additional entries, second place receives three, and third place receives two, increasing their chances of being selected in the live Facebook draw, which takes place two days after each Open competition.
