Heritage Golf Group Completes Four-Club Acquisition with the Addition of Southern Hills

Heritage Golf Group has completed a four-club acquisition with the addition of Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, FL. This transaction follows the recent additions of The Plantation Golf & Country Club, Country Club of Ocala, and The Palencia Club, expanding our portfolio to 47 clubs nationwide, including 13 across Florida.
Heritage Golf Group, the fastest-growing owner and operator of golf and country clubs in the United States, has announced the acquisition of Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Florida, from managing partner MG Orender. This marks the fourth and final acquisition in a multi-club agreement, following the additions of The Plantation Golf & Country Club, Country Club of Ocala, and The Palencia Club, which closed in late October. With this transaction, Heritage’s total club count increases to 47 nationwide.

Southern Hills Plantation Club (Brooksville, FL) features a Pete Dye–designed golf course complemented by four tennis courts, four pickleball courts, a full-service fitness center, and a resort-style pool. The club is also recognized as one of the Tampa area’s premier wedding and event venues.
Early capital improvement plans are in discussion and will be guided by member and team feedback to ensure enhancements align with each club’s unique culture and priorities. The Heritage team, with extensive proficiency in private and public golf club ownership, continues to elevate the member experience through transforming and improving amenities, operations, and programming at acquired clubs. The expanding network further enhances the value of Heritage Golf Group membership through the Heritage Plus Network, a reciprocal travel benefit that affords golf members access to other participating Heritage clubs.
