SPAIN’S ELITE LADIES HEAD TO LA HACIENDA LINKS FOR CLIMAX TO 2025 SANTANDER GOLF TOUR

Santander Spanish Women’s Professional Championship to take place in one of Spain’s most spectacular golf settings

The best female players in Spain will head to La Hacienda Links Golf Resort this week for the Santander Spanish Women’s Professional Championship – the finale to the 2025 Santander Golf Tour.

An elite field of 33 players, including six Andalusians and eight amateurs, will compete over 54 holes from November 19-21 for the last title of the year and a first prize of €18,000 in a tournament that will serve as a fitting climax to a memorable season.

Providing a dramatic stage will be La Hacienda Links Golf Resort’s Heathland course, which has established itself as a formidable challenge for the world’s top players in recent years. Designed by Dave Thomas, the course combines links with parkland-style areas to create a demanding layout. Players will need to navigate wide fairways, strategically placed bunkers and tricky greens if they are to claim victory.

Sweeping views of the Mediterranean and the Rock of Gibraltar lend the course its unique visual character, consolidating La Hacienda Links Golf Resort as one of the most impressive golf resorts in Europe.

Four Spanish champions are among those registered in one of the most competitive fields in the tournament’s history: Ana Peláez (2024), Nuria Iturrioz (2023), Teresa Toscano (2022) and Luna Sobrón, who won consecutively in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

They will be joined by some of the most outstanding Spanish golfers on the international scene. Nuria Iturrioz, with five victories on the Ladies European Tour – the last of them at the 2025 Aramco Houston Championship – heads a list that also includes María Hernández, Ana Peláez and Marta Martín, all with victories on the European circuit. Her presence, together with that of other great talents such as Blanca Fernández García-Poggio, Amaia Latorre, Marta Sanz, Harang Lee, Paz Marfà and María Herráez, guarantees a competition of the highest quality.

In 2025, the Santander Golf Tour has toured some of the best courses in Spain and the quality of venue has been matched by the level of its participants. The Netherlands’ Lauren Holmey has had a historic campaign with four wins and the ranking title, establishing herself as one of the names of the future in international golf.
